The 2019 UIUC NOMAS Symposium theme centers around the person behind the professional. This event hopes to bring students and professionals together in the discussion and celebration of their shared stories and culture.

Topics addressed will span from childhood and life as a student to experiences as a professional. We recognize that despite the varying levels of expertise of professionals and students alike, there have been sacrifices, joyful moments and many lessons learned along the way, and through the discussion of these moments, we hope to find unity and a sense of connection.
