For the past several months, our IIT NOMAS students have been building a database documenting the contributions of minority architects and designers throughout Chicago. Utilizing geographic information system (GIS) software, they have created a tool that is accessible to the general public that maps the previously untold story of minority designers and architects in Chicago and we are so excited to finally share the progress that has been made!
