I-NOMA Member featured in American Society of Landscape Architects

I-NOMA Member and landscape architect, Douglas Williams, reflects on the work of David August Williston, one of the first African American landscape architects, in a recent issue of 'The Dirt'- a blog published by the American Society of Landscape Architects. Williams identifies the lack of representation in key landscape architecture texts, among others, as a reason the works of David Williston and other African American landscape architects are lesser known than those of their counterparts. Williams hopes to promote Williston's work by digitizing the archives and making it accessible so that people can experience a Williston landscape.
