Highlight: Privit Partnership
I-NOMA had the great opportunity to be honored by PRIVIT Events for leadership in community engagement and education. Project Pipeline began as a nationwide NOMA initiative in 2015 to introduce more youth to the field of architecture. This introduction and exposure to mentorship early on ensures an easier path to a career often out of reach for minorities.
At Sky Bar, PRIVIT hosted I-NOMA during their annual fundraiser event. It was a pleasure meeting other Chicago professionals interested in helping the mission of increasing diversity in the architecture and design profession.
This mixer was the first of two events that gather professionals and garner support. The second was a fundraiser dinner where leadership gave a presentation on Project Pipeline and the work being done in the community.
A special thanks to Jason Pugh, former president of I-NOMA and current Vice President of NOMA, for organizing the event and providing a platform for I-NOMA to further the mission.
