You’re invited to join the I-NOMA Design Build leadership.
As a volunteer, you will be mentoring high school students through the renovation of a local non-profit space along with helping coordinate the Design Build program. Through participation in this program, you will have the opportunity to help in areas where you are skilled, and work on areas where you would like to improve (we mentor each other as well!)
Our specified areas include logistics and planning (organizing stuff), design and procurement (finding cool donations for the project), production (doing drawings and models for students to work off of), curriculum development, and of course actual mentoring, just to name a few.
Mentors should be college aged and above, ideally with experience in architecture, construction or design related professions.

This field trip offers a guided tour with insights into Frank Lloyd Wright's family life and architectural career in Oak Park. Frank Lloyd Wright used his first home to experiment with design concepts that contain the seeds of his architectural philosophy.
In his adjacent studio, Wright and his associates developed a new American architecture - the Prairie style. After visiting the Home and Studio, we will take a three-block walk to the Unity Temple. Designed in Wright’s Oak Park Studio for his own Unitarian congregation, it is one of the first public buildings in America to feature exposed concrete and is Wright’s greatest public building of his Prairie era.
Transportation provided. Meet at IIT's Crown Hall at 7:30am.
THE BUS WILL DEPART BY 7:45AM AND RETURN BY 1:00PM.
The actual tour will run from 8:50 AM to 12:00 PM.
